If your gutters are reasonably new and only suffer occasional leaks at joints or one sagging run, a targeted repair is usually the right call. If you're getting widespread leaks, multiple sagging sections, or the system is brittle and discoloured with UV damage, a full replacement is almost always more economical over five years than chasing problems.
